The Club of Venice is an informal group of Europe’s most senior and experienced government communications professionals. Founded in 1986, it convenes several times each year to provide members with an opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest, share experiences and best practice, and offer mutual support.
This website is intended to provide visitors with information about what the Club is, what it does, who its members are and how it supports senior public communications professionals across the European Union member states and institutions. Since its creation, the Club has aimed to promote professionalism and best practice for government communicators – from Paris to Podgorica, Athens to Amsterdam, Riga to Malta. By providing members with access to an unrivalled pool of communications expertise, as well as information and support, we hope that governments across Europe continue to benefit from this exchange of knowledge.
